A new company-wide initiative by Bayshore Broadcasting will help meet the equipment needs of participating hospitals in our listening area.
98 the Beach has kicked off its campaign of Bayshore’s Healthy Tomorrows.
On Soundingboard — Station General Manager Rob Brignell says the promotional campaign is designed to stimulate planned giving to the medical facilities through each one’s foundation.
Brignell says not only will it assure that each hospital gets the best equipment they can in the future, it also allows each planned giver to create their legacy for the children after they’re gone.
Meanwhile, the chair of the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Brian Wakelin says this is exactly type of the program they need.
Wakelin says not only will allow each hospital to keep up to date on equipment but it becomes a drawing card for doctors and specialists in the area to work in those hospitals that have the best equipment.
The campaign will run on all six of Bayshore Broadcasting’s stations in Saugeen Shores, Goderich, Owen Sound and Wasaga Beach.
Listeners will be directed to the website of each area’s local hospital foundation for additional information and will be linked through the 98 the Beach website as well.
Saugeen Memorial Foundation Development Officer and Treasurer Christy Kelly says all donations are welcomed.
She says there is no such thing as a donation too small to make.
Kelly says the money will be used to guarantee that the Southampton hospital has the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
Foundation chair Wakelin says it is a program that is badly needed at all hospital and he’s pleased 98 the Beach stepped up to the plate to offer its unique services.
