It was the turn of the opposition at the Grey Bruce Farmer’s Week meeting in Elmwood.
Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak brought his message to farmers during dairy day.
Hudak started the day at the Our Project Centre of Rona in Hanover chastising the Ontario Liberals for their shameless hydro hikes that are affecting every citizen and business owner.
He said hydro rates would come down with a Conservative government.
In Elmwood he added farming to the mix.
Hudak says the Conservatives are focused on making sure family farms remain healthy for generations to come.
He says his government will support supply management 100 per cent for those commodities that have it.
For the beef and pork industry and others that don’t have the support programs, Hudak suggested they’ll move ahead with business risk management programs to keep farms within family units.
