Huron County officials are heading to Owen Sound to try and create a consistent plan to deal with nuisance coyotes.
CAO Larry Adams says they’ll be brainstorming with Grey and Bruce Counties, as well as lower tier representatives to come up with uniform compensation fees throughout the region.
Huron and Bruce County currently offer 100 dollars for each ministry approved kill while Grey has a 50 dollar compensation fee.
Adams says the Ministry of Natural Resources and various agriculture groups will also be represented to figure out their best options.
One meeting between the Counties has already been held, but Huron Councillors took issue with some of the limits on carcasses and standard hunting areas that were proposed.
Adams says they’ll meet on January 11th at the Grey Municipal Offices in Owen Sound.
