A new Lion’s Club has received it’s Charter and is looking for more members to join up.
The West Grey – Durham Lions Club received it’s charter at a gala dinner recently.
150 people participated in the event and 50 people have joined the fledgeling service club.
Membership chair Vi Wilson says they will hold their monthly meetings in the old town hall for now and anyone who wants to join should contact her in Durham.
The annual fee is 75 dollars and it is the only service club in the community.
Wilson says the Mount Forest Lions Club help get the new club going.
Any money raised remains in the community … supporting various events.
