A poor turnout at Bruce Power’s Open House in Owen Sound.
Only 1 person was in attendance at last night’s meeting at the Best Western Inn on the Bay.
The purpose of the open house was for Bruce Power to update where the are in the environmental assessment regarding refurbishment and new build.
Bruce Power Executive Vice President, Nuclear Oversight Robert Nixon says the turnout is disappointing.
This was the last of 5 open houses held by Bruce Power. and Nixon says they have seen anywhere from 5 to 20 people in attendance at the public sessions.
The 4 other open houses were held at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre in Tiverton, Kincardine, Port Elgin and Walkerton.
