Local tourism businesses are worried the high gas prices will have a negative impact this summer.
According to our recent on-line news poll, 56 percent of the respondents are in favour of removing the provincial sales tax for the summer.
Many feel if the fuel prices remain high, this maybe the only way hotels and attractions will be able to stay in business.
Others says the high cost of gas will definitely curb the number of tourists coming to the region.
The other 44 percent of the respondents feel the PST should be eliminated for all types of accommodation, including campgrounds.
A few question why the government should give a break to just one business sector.
They feel the province should do something that would help everyone, including removing the PST on gasoline sales.
