The Ontario Trillium Foundation has announced funding for the Bluewater Astronomical Society.
The Bluewater Astronomical Society has received 36 thousand dollars from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The group says it will use the money to give residents an opportunity to stargaze at the new observatory at the Outdoor Education Centre near Oliphant.
The money will pay for a new large telescope at the ES Fox Astronomy Centre.
The Astronomical Society holds star-gazing sessions, lectures and astronomy events for students and the general public.

Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker says he is pleased Trillium recognizes and values the work of the Society and is helping to promote education in astronomy.
