The Hanover and District Hospital Foundation has kicked off its Christmas Tree Ornament campaign.
Foundation Director Sue Patterson says the ornaments can be purchased by the public to honour a loved one, a friend, or even a hospital staff member.
Ornaments range in price from 15 to 250 dollars.
Patterson says the ornaments will be hung on the Christmas trees to brighten the spirits of patients, visitors, and staff.
She hopes to raise 25 thousand dollars through the Christmas Tree Ornament campaign.
The money will go towards the Hospital Foundation’s latest fundraising project — the new digital mammography machine.
The machine is already in use at the Hospital. It provides clearer images, shorter exam times, improved image storage and enhanced communication between medical sites.
Paterson is confident the community will get behind this very worthy project.
Each ornament comes with a tribute card and the donor’s name will be listed in a tribute book.
