Its been a while coming but officials from Georgian Bluffs were able to officially open the new O’Reilly Bridge.
Provincial and Federal officials also attended this morning’s ceremony on East Linton Side Road.
Mayor Alan Barfoot says they waited a long time for the funding which was split three ways between the various levels of government.
Barfoot says the Municipality kicked in a little over $150,000 to tear down the old bridge and put up the new one, the rest was shared by the province and Ottawa.
He says now emergency vehicles and snow plows can travel the bridge safely.
