More than 34-thousand people in Grey-Bruce are vaccinated against the flu.
The Grey-Bruce Health Unit says just over 41-hundred people attended a total of 15 flu vaccination clinics run by Public Health in the past month.
That’s down just slightly from last year, when almost 45-hundred people were vaccinated.
Another 30 thousand doses were distributed through doctors’ offices and long-term care facilities.
Officials say the number one way to prevent getting the flu is to get vaccinated.
Numbers show that 40 people in Grey-Bruce die on average each year because of influenza — and 95 per cent of them are seniors.
