Pre-construction planning for the permanent sighting for the two mammography units in Owen Sound is in the final stages.
President & CEO of Grey Bruce Health Services Maureen Solecki says the cost for construction will be close to 200 thousand dollars as originally proposed.
She tells the board of directors the second unit can be ordered once construction is close to completion.
That unit will cost 475 thousand dollars.
The first unit is already in place and has been providing service for several months.
Solecki says she is blown away by the regional fundraising underway to help with the costs of the new mammography unit.
