You can share your thoughts on the future of Bluewater Park in Wiarton at a meeting this week.
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula says it’s holding a master plan concept open house for the waterfont park on Wednesday from 5.pm. to 8p.m. at the Wiarton arena.
They say you can, “share your ideas, experiences and feedback on opportunities, challenges and preliminary design concepts for Bluewater Park and adjacent buildings.”
There’s a dedicated project page, and it lays out priorities for the park including creating a new community hub by integrating the surrounding buildings like the library and arena with the new town hall, beach and park. They also want to adjust and improve the campground. Another priority is upgrading the 15 or more park assets like playgrounds, pathways and sports facilities and improving access to the waterfront and beach.
The Town says, “We will also develop a ten-year park investment forecast to prioritize maintenance and improvements.”
