There’s a nuclear job fair planned in Owen Sound for Wednesday.
It’s set to take place at the Sydenham Campus and is being put on by the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) and Bruce Power
Organizers say the job fair and information session aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and opportunities in the nuclear industry by showcasing a range of skilled trade and STEM positions.
OCNI President and CEO Bill Walker says it’s open to anyone, noting, “You don’t have to be in any particular capacity at this point to join. You could be a student in co-op saying, ‘Hey what are my options out there?’ You could be someone who wants to retrain to a new career.”
The job fair runs from 3 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27th.
