Saugeen Shores Police have a warning about puppy fraud.
They’re urging community members not to send deposits for dogs they have not met in person.
Police say, “We have had several calls where people have sent money to purchase puppies only to find out that the pickup address and phone number are fake.”
They add, “We encourage people to adopt through a local shelter or rescue or ensure that the seller is a reputable breeder.”
