Bruce Power says that support from the community for the energy company remains strong, according to a new independent poll.
The results of telephone polling that was conducted across the region by Ipsos found that 96 percent of residents regard Bruce Power as a good citizen, while 95% said that they felt the company has a positive engagement with the community.
The survey also found that 82% of respondents supported the long-term planning and consultation work required to explore expansion at the Bruce Power site.
The polling also showed overall support had increased since 2022, from 73% up to 78% regarding a long-term Deep Geological Repository.
