Kincardine Council has approved the municipality providing drinking water to the Bruce Power site.
The last update was given at the September 13th council meeting, outlining details of the plan.
Prior to that, discussions had been ongoing for months, with Bruce Power being responsible for the connection to the municipal water and wastewater services, as it is typical for the property to be connected to be financially responsible in order to receive the service.
The company will also fund upgrades to the water treatment plant to be able to handle the increase in capacity.
