Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce is holding a fundraising concert next month.
Chair Peter Reid says the Rockin’ for Reward Concert and Social Fundraiser is a new event for the organization.
“We haven’t done an evening like this before, so we are going to give it a shot,” says Reid.
He says the event on Oct. 14 at the Owen Sound Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 building will feature the classic rock band Midlife Crisis.
Additionally, the event will include a silent auction, as well as the prize draw for the organization’s summer long 50/50.
“Crime Stoppers is a registered charity and we receive most of our funding from events we do,” says Reid. “100 per cent of the funds raised will go to Crime Stoppers.”
Reid hopes they are able to sell out for this first-time event.
“If we do well, I’d think we would probably try to do this a couple of times a year, maybe rotate some bands around,” says Reid.
