Nominations are now open in Saugeen Shores for the Heritage Conservation Award.
This annual award from the Saugeen Shores Municipal Heritage Committee is awarded to residents who have worked to conserve an older building or environmental heritage site, or to those who promote the town’s cultural heritage.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says he thinks it is a very prestigious award.
“We have a really great heritage committee, a lot of outstanding folks there who care a lot about our heritage and work hard to preserve it. That’s why I know they are very excited to present this award to folks who share their passion for our heritage and who are working hard to preserve it,” says Charbonneau.
If you would like to nominate someone for the award, send an email to clerk@saugeenshores.ca, including the name, address and phone number of the nominee, as well as your contact information, and why you think the nominee deserves the award.
