Northern Bruce Peninsula council is going to consider organizing a public meeting this month for proposed amendments to its fees and charges by-law.
On Nov. 15, council will be receiving a report by Clerk Cathy Addison. It recommends supporting holding a meeting on Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. to address the proposed amendments.
The report says the fees and charges by-law helps recover costs providing various services to residents.
Some administration fees have received a proposed increase including marriage licenses, which would be set to increase to $140 from $125.
Water rates are also included in the proposal, seeing a increase to $556 per meter.
Paid parking fees and ParkPass reservation fees are receiving a proposed adjustment, including changing paid parking fees to $3 an hour, and $9 for a three-hour maximum.
Parking at McCurdy Drive would also see a $20 price tag attached with a four-hour reservation, and $30 for eight hours.
The report adds with an upcoming food truck policy, a licensing fee was also added for 2023.
If council eventually approves the by-law, it would come into effect Jan. 1, 2023 and bring in additional revenue for the new year.
The council meeting starts at 1 p.m. to discuss this recommendation.
