South Bruce Peninsula council will consider installing security cameras at the Sauble Beach medical centre after it was vandalized.
A staff report to council says on the evening of September 21st the Sauble Medical Centre was vandalized resulting in staff having to board up a glass door and re-key the building.
Staff say a glass door was shattered and a window was broken after being shot with a pellet gun. Town staff say a lock box on the outside of the building was stolen and compromised the safety of the building.
Staff secured the building with chains and padlocks and had new locks put on the exterior doors, allowing for the normal operation of the building to continue.
They’re suggesting the installation of security cameras at the building.
The security cameras are estimated to cost $5,000 before tax.
