Some heavy downpour is expected in parts of Grey Bruce on Monday.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for northern Grey County — including Owen Sound — Sauble Beach and the Bruce Peninsula.
Forecasters say rain, heavy at times, will continue throughout the day. Some parts of the region will see showers continue until tomorrow.
“Rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm by this evening. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas that receive thunderstorms,” says Environment Canada in the warning.
Localized flooding in low-lying and flood prone areas is possible. Forecasters warn drivers heavy downpours can also cause water pooling on roads.
Meanwhile, there’s a special weather statement for Saugeen Shores, Kincardine and southern Bruce County about significant rainfall as well, but so far no warning in place.
