Kincardine is continuing its search for a new Chief Administrative Officer.
The municipality announced last week that the position would be taken by David Henderson, who was the mayor of Brockville from 2006 until 2018, but now they’re going to be looking for someone else.
A release municipality cites new information received following the conclusion of the CAO recruitment process as the reason it decided to rescind its offer.
Henderson was supposed to take over as Kincardine CAO in August and is currently doing the same job in the small town of Moosonee, which is on the shores of James Bay.
Mayor Gerry Glover says that Roxana Baumann will be continuing as Acting CAO while they find a permanent replacement.
