The OPP say con artists have gained access to two computers this week alone — one in Arran-Elderslie, and one in Kincardine.
Police are sending another warning about callers that say they want to fix your computer.
The scammers call pretending to be employees of Microsoft or Online PC Care and tell you for 200 dollars, they can fix a problem on your computer, and the charge will go on your credit card.
But police say if you didnt make the phone call — how do you know who is on the other end?
They recommend consulting a reputable computer repair technician if you want your computer fixed.
