There is a screening of a new documentary in Walkerton tonight on how “To Make a Farm.”
It is a feature length film exploring the lives of five new farmers — including two of them from Southern Ontario.
The Film’s Director and Producer Steve Suderman says he spent weeks with these young farmers as they faced daily challenges and setbacks in starting their business.
Suderman notes these five families have no backgrounds in farming.
Suderman says he hoped to draw attention to the lives of local farmers and the realities of small scale agriculture.
The documentary will be shown Saturday at 7 PM at Victoria Jubilee Hall in Walkerton.
“To Make a Farm” was named one of the ten most popular Canadian films at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
