A Meaford man faces assault and threatening charges after an altercation at the Georgian Apartments near Stone Tree just south of Owen Sound.
Several Grey County OPP officers went to the home around 9:30 PM on Thursday after receiving a call from a man alleging he had been assaulted by a neighbour who then fired a gun shot at him.
Police say in fact, no gun shots were fired.
And Police found out the complainant had been drinking — and he was found to have assaulted a neighbour.
Police also allege the man acted aggressively during the investigation.
A 53 year old man has been charged with public mischief, assault and utter threats.
