Whitney Houston — one of the music industry’s biggest stars from the mid-1980s to the late ’90s — is dead at the age of 48.
Houston’s body was found Saturday in her room at a Beverly Hills hotel.
Paramedics tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the six-time Grammy winning singer, who sold more than 200 million records.
In later years, Houston’s life and career were derailed by drugs.
An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death, but police say there’s no sign of criminal intent.
