Bruce County Tourism has a new design build challenge.
Project Coordinator Kristin Freiburger says they are looking for a new promotional item they can give away — and they’re asking locals to design it.
She says they are looking for something unique that captures what Bruce County is all about.
In the past she says they’ve had items like pins, stickers and yo-yo’s, but for the past five years they’ve been giving away walking sticks.
Freiburger says they’re looking for another unique item that is either made in or made from something found in Bruce County.
She says locals know what this area is all about, and that’s why they’re putting the challenge out there.
The only catch is that the designer must be able to manufacture all of the items — and Freiburger says they’re hoping to have nine thousand for their August 2013 launch.
The winner will have their promotional item handed out at Explore the Bruce events, as well as receive a two year contract, co-branding on the item, and be an official sponsor of Explore the Bruce.
If you have an idea, submit the prototype to Bruce County Tourism by February 28th.
