A former OPP officer from Lion’s Head is facing charges in an undercover sex sting by police in Florida.
72 year old Carl Robert Kitchen is a part-time resident of Fort Meade.
He told the arresting officers that he is a retired police officer who served for 31 years.
Kitchen allegedly asked an undercover detective to perform a sexual act on him and exposed himself to the detective.
He was arrested for exposure of a sexual organ and soliciting a lewd act.
Four men were arrested in the Homeland area of Florida late last month during a Polk County Sheriff’s investigation of activities at Peace River Park.
Also among those arrested was a 33 year old Senior Pastor of a church in south Florida.
Sheriff Grady Judd says that type of behaviour is not going to be tolerated in our parks. We want to ensure that all of our parks are safe for children and their families to enjoy.
