Harrison Park in Owen Sound is one crowded spot this weekend.
It is the site of the 48th annual Winter Camp for the Scouts.
The opening ceremonies were held at 9 AM today.
The camp started in 1964 when two local troops decided to earn their winter camping badge by camping out overnight in mid-January.
The attendance and activities quickly expanded to include a full weekend of winter activities and camping.
The scouts range in age from 11 to 17 years old and they come from all over North America to take part in the Camp — as far away as Miamisburg, Ohio.
The most popular event is the Rescue Mission.
Other activities include log sawing, fire lighting, knot tying, lashings, compass work, and an obstacle course.
