It’s not exactly clear yet what happened Monday morning at the Bruce nuclear generating station near Tiverton.
We do know a truck carrying heavy water down an on-site road from the Bruce B generating station to Bruce A set off a radiation detection monitor.
Bruce Power spokesperson John Peevers says they did close the road as a precaution to make sure all the material in the truck is still contained.
Peevers says those roads are almost entirely open as their investigation continues.
He says it’s looking like they have contained all of the material but they are erring on the side of caution and continue to check the road.
He notes that Bruce workers can still get on and off site.
