Home sales slowed in December in Grey Bruce.
Figures released by the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound show 94 homes were sold last month — down 12 per cent from a year ago.
For all of 2011 — 2,035 homes were sold in the area which was also down about seven per cent from the level in 2010.
However, the number of house sales was the same as in 2008 and 2009.
President Dan Keffer says the average price for a home in Grey and Bruce in December was just under 226 thousand dollars.
That is up one per cent from a year ago.
Meanwhile, the selection of homes is up again with some 1,264 units listed last month.
That total is up 14 per cent from 2010 and the length of time a property remains on the market is up as well.
