Work has resumed in our region on the Bruce to Milton Transmission line.
Hydro One Spokesperson Nancy Shaddick says you’re going to see helicopters and hear a loud booming noise as the work resumes.
The work is concentrated around Brockton, Hanover and West Grey.
Shaddick tells Bayshore Broadcasting News the booming noise is similar to a firearm discharging.
Shaddick says their contractors are installing the conductors on some of their towers.
She notes they have about 500 of the 727 towers erected — and the line stringing has been completed on 285 towers.
The Bruce to Milton transmission line is the largest of its kind in the last 20 years in Ontario.
