A new year means a new office for the South Bruce OPP — the force is moving its Walkerton detachment to Brockton.
Construction of the new administrative building for the South Bruce OPP has been finished on Bruce Road 19 in Brockton.
That means staff can move into the new offices on January 17th and 18th.
The OPP says to expect a minor interruption in services, including criminal record checks, collision reporting, and general information inquiries.
Starting January 19th, administrative services should be back to normal.
Detachment Commander, Inspector Bill Klym, says the move will not affect policing operations, and police officers will be available for any and all calls for service during this time.
