Grey Bruce Farmers Week is no longer just a local event.
This year’s 46th edition is hailed as a big success with visitors and exhibitors from all over Ontario.
It wrapped up Tuesday — and Executive Director and President at Grey County AG Services, Ray Robertson says over 14 hundred people attended the seven day marathon.
Robertson says it was the first time they went seven days instead of five at the Elmwood Community Centre.
There were 85 trade show exhibitors — which Robertson says makes it one of the largest agriculture shows in Ontario during the winter months.
Robertson says Grey Bruce Farmers Week is now a major agriculture conference.
Robertson says they broke some attendance records this year for individual days.
Crops day had record attendance with standing room only, while Dairy day saw its largest number of attendees in 46 years.
Grey Bruce Farmers Week ran January 4th to January 10th.
