The final step in the sale of assets from Grew Boats will be taken on Tuesday, when the purchase of the property goes before a judge in a London court.
BDO Canada Senior Vice President Bill Courage says January 10th is the date for the judge to review the deal between the receiver and Steve Merrick.
If the deal is approved, all assets will have been sold from the now defunct boat manufactuing business.
Merrick was the high bidder for the 12.85 acres of land and buildings on Highway 6 south of Owen Sound.
Merrick bid 430 thousand dollars, but Courage tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they negotiated a different price.
Merrick says he plans to use the facility for storage, likely for police impounded cars.
Merrick owns Royal Towing and operates in several locations including Owen Sound, Shelburne, and Orangeville.
An earlier auction in late August — saw hundreds of people purchasing numerous items like cars and boats.
Grew Boats has liabilities of more than two million dollars owed to about one hundred creditors including two dozen employees.
