Provincial police are now blaming winter road conditions for the two crashes that killed seven teenagers.
Two girls from Barrie — who were cousins — and a boy and girl from Sudbury were killed in a three-car pileup north of Parry Sound on Tuesday afternoon.
Three young people were killed in another crash on Highway 17 on the same day.
The OPP are reminding drivers to take extra care when on slippery roads and to constantly watch for ice on the highways, even if it’s sunny out.
