Two hospital CEO’s in our region receive car allowances.
Maureen Solecki at Grey Bruce Health Services and Linda Davis at the Collingwood hospital receive the perk as part of their contracts.
The information is now public after many Ontario hospitals released their CEO compensation packages since becoming subject to freedom of information legislation.
Solecki — the CEO of seven facilities — gets a 700 dollar a month car allowance.
Her salary stands at over 250 thousand dollars, but she will make over 300 thousand by the time the contract ends in 2014.
Davis has a salary of almost 200 thousand dollars and receives a five thousand dollar a year car allowance.
Nine per cent of her salary is also tied to meeting the goals and objectives of the Collingwood hospital.
The retiring Paul Davies at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre made almost 213 thousand dollars last year.
Hanover Hospital CEO Katrina Wilson has a salary of over 163 thousand dollars.
Some Ontario hospital CEO’s got pension top-ups of more than 100-thousand dollars and car allowances of up to a thousand dollars a month.
