The fuel spill from a sunken boat at Colpoy’s Bay has been cleaned up.
As we first told you on Saturday — a 50 foot fishing tug named “Isaac” was partially submerged and leaking fuel.
Bruce Peninsula OPP and the Canadian Coast Guard were called to the Government Dock.
Larry Trigatti is with the Environmental Response Branch of the Coast Guard.
Trigatti says the spill was serious but not major.
But he notes the vessel’s owner took action to clean up the spill over the last couple days in spite of the weather.
Trigatti tells Bayshore Broadcasting News the vessel was refloated on Monday and will be secured today as part of their final inspection.
