The Wingham Police Service has charged a 27 year-old man with impaired operation of a snow machine.
Police say the incident took place at dusk on Friday.
They say a short pursuit led to a suspect being taken into custody.
The man was seen operating an older snow machine on Town streets in Wingham just after 5 PM.
The driver fled police, stopping the unit and trying to escape on foot.
The man was charged with impaired operation of a snowmachine, Over 80 and flight from police.
He will answer charges in court in Wingham February 16th.
Police remind you the laws governing operation of a snowmachine while impaired are no different from regular driving offences — and you could lose your licence if convicted.
