It wasn’t a happy holiday for some as police dealt with two seperate domestic disputes.
Two people face charges in connection with two separate domestic disputes over the holidays
In the most recent incident, Grey county OPP were called to a home in the township of Chatsworth on Boxing Day.
A verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation between a common-law couple.
The 25 year old Chatsworth man — who had left the residence prior to police arrival — turned himself into the Chatsworth OPP Detachment the following day, where he was arrested for domestic assault.
He will appear in Owen Sound Court on January 12th.
Meanwhile, on Christmas Eve — Grey County OPP were called to a home on William street in Meaford.
The call was about a domestic disturbance, and during the investigation, the female resident assaulted one of the officers.
The officer was not injured.
The 23 year old woman is charged with Assault Police, and will appear in Owen Sound Court on January 26th.
