A deer died in the passenger seat of a car after a crash on the Bruce Peninsula.
Police say the deer was crossing Highway 6 south of Mar late Tuesday morning when it was hit by a vehicle.
The deer crashed through the windshield and died immediately.
The driver — a 61 year old woman from Georgian Bluffs — was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Bruce Peninsula OPP say this is only the second reported injury in 2011 of the 69 investigations involving collisions with animals.
