The Learning Partnership has named Bruce Power as one of Canada’s 10 most outstanding employers — for its commitment to young people.
The charitable organization is dedicated to promoting a strong public education system in Canada through innovative programs.
Bruce Power President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne says he is proud of the prestigious honour.
Hawthorne notes they have put a lot of effort into holding a successful Take Our Kids to Work day program each year.
He feels it’s beneficial and logical to Grade 9 students and their employees — who show their family what a great place Bruce Power is to work.
The awards are judged on five criteria — including promoting the importance of staying in school and engaging students during Take Our Kids to Work day.
