Samsung and Pattern energy are ready to take their story to the people.
The partners, developers of the proposed Armow Wind Project, are holding their first in a series of open house Tuesday night in Kincardine.
Project Developer for Pattern Energy Jody Law was before Kincardine council last Wednesday where he received a luke-warm reception at best, from councillors.
Law says they hope to put up 90 turbines on a plot of land in Armow, however, with all the restrictions placed by government agencies and the new tougher restrictions by Kincardine, they could only put up five.
He says the turbine farm would have ample setbacks from residential areas and the whole project would be a multi-million-dollar benefit to Kincardine through taxes over the life of the plan.
Law says they will hold a series of open houses and public meetings to explain to citizens what they’re plans are.
He says they will also continue to work closely with Kincardine council.
Tonight’s first public open house goes from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Best Western Plus Governor’s Inn.
