Last week it was the Port Elgin Santa Claus parade — tonight is the Southampton Santa Claus parade.
The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce is hosting the parade, which begins at 7 PM near Grey Street by the Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
Community Relations Coordinator Heather Lorenz tells us the procession will travel west on High Street to Huron Street by the Cenotaph.
Lorenz says they’re expecting a lot of participants in the parade with lots of animals taking part as well.
Free candy will ALSO be handed out.
Lorenz is hoping for good weather but she knows no matter what the weather, she can count on the kids to come out to welcome Santa Claus to Southampton.
Southampton merchants will also be part of the celebration at tonight’s (FRI) parade.
Thorncrest Outfitters will bring a 27 foot canoe in the parade and collect items for the Salvation Army food drive.
