Officials at the Hanover and District Hospital are thrilled to share a silver award.
The hospital received a silver for Quality Healthcare Workplace from the Ontario Hospital Association.
Grey Bruce Health Services also won a silver in the same category
Hanover Hospital Vice President of Human Resource Stacy Hogg says the silver award is a feather in their cap.
Hogg credits the hospitals different health and wellness initiatives.
Those include the Fit Trail, the Relay for Life Hospital Team, food drive challenges, corporate gym memberships and staff appreciation days.
Hogg says the goal is to improve staff morale and the quality of work life.
Hogg feels the award will also help retain their employees while attracting new workers.
The Hanover hospital is also part of the Grey Bruce Health Network — which won an Award of Excellence in the Small, Rural and Northern category.
