The Owen Sound Salvation Army Food Bank will receive almost half of the money up for grabs in the Kraft Assists Food for Families contest.
The contest website — www.kraftassists.ca — shows that a total of 50 thousand signatures have now been collected amongst 30 food banks Canada-wide.
Owen Sound has received the most signatures at 22,232 — and Kraft Canada is going to donate one dollar for every signature collected.
It appears will also collect another 10 thousand dollars, since it has collected the most signatures.
The next closest community is Botwood, Newfoundland, with 5,048 signatures.
Kraft Canada’s goal was to reach 50 thousand signatures by January 31st, 2012.
