The union representing 38 nurses at the Grey Bruce Health Unit begin a new round of mediation talks today.
The Ontario Nurses Association claims the two sides are still far apart on the issues of wages, job security, and job posting provisions.
The workers voted 91 per cent in favour of job action, and will be in a legal strike position as of Wednesday.
If mediation talks today and tomorrow fail, the nurses will hold a final strike vote.
Flu shot season is underway, and immunization is just one of the areas the nurses at the Health Unit are responsible for.
They also run many health education programs.
