The Owen Sound Police Auxiliary Unit is teaming up with the Salvation Army for it’s annual Holiday Food Drive
Members of the Auxiliary Unit will be out collecting non-perishable food items over the next few weeks.
The first collection is today — Saturday November 12th — from 9 AM until 3:30 PM at the Wal-Mart store in Owen Sound.
The second Food collection by members of the Owen Sound Police Auxiliary Unit will be held at Metro Foods in downtown Owen Sound on Saturday November 26th from 9 AM until 3:30 PM.
Other collections are planned for:
Friday December 2nd- 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Zehrs Food Market
Saturday December 3rd, -9:00 am to 3:30 pm, Zehrs Food Market
Saturday December 3rd, – 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, Food Basics
Police inspector Vince Wurfel says the Salvation Army Food bank is in need of non-perishable food items to meet the increased need over the holiday season.
All food and cash donations are greatly appreciated and go directly towards helping those in need.
