Owen Sound Police aren’t sure if it was a random act of mischief, or a targeted crime…
And they have no leads as to who is responsible for breaking three windows at the Owen Sound courthouse.
Police Inspector Vince Wurfel says the windows, all on the second floor, were broken either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
He says the outer pane of glass was broken on each window, but not the second pane, so whatever hit the glass did not enter the building.
Nobody was near the courthouse at the time, and Wurfel says they have no description of a suspect.
Wurfel believes the suspect used a low-velocity projectile — which he says could be a pellet or BB gun, or maybe even a slingshot.
The damage is estimated around two-thousand dollars.
