The Peninsula Adventure Sports Association is now taking applications for those searching for funding for outdoor activities.
President Jack Van Dorp says they have about seven thousand dollars to dish out for public initiatives on the Bruce.
The money is from profits PASA made during this past summers Bruce Peninsula Multisport Race.
Van Dorp says the money will go to successful outdoor sport infrastructure projects and sports events that need seed funding.
But, Van Dorp stresses the ventures need to take advantage Bruce Peninsula’s natural features.
He says the idea is to grant the money to ventures that don’t typically receive large amounts of funding.
The project or sporting event has to be located in, or benefit Bruce and Grey Counties North of Highway 21, or any part of the Sauble River.
